I have been involved with sewing as far back as I can remember. I have always made clothes, knitted sweaters and sewn home furnishings.

In 1995 I became interested in Patchwork/Quilting &
Appliqué and, as I was working for a prominent sewing machine company, I had first hand experience of the new domestic embroidery machines that were becoming available for home use. I was, and still continue to be, fascinated with these machines and what they will do.

Around this time I also went to college and gained qualifications to allow me to teach adults. For many years I taught machine knitting and dressmaking in Further Education.

In 2005 I came up with the idea of creating needle turn
appliqué in the hoop of my embroidery machine. I started writing and digitising in January 2008, created this website and started selling my designs and associated products at some of the Quilt shows up and down the country.

I am still full of ideas and have developed a selection of patterns for both embroidery machine owners and those using conventional sewing machines.

My mission statement is -----

'To design interesting projects to encourage the use of modern sewing machine technology'
